As the Senior Vice President—Loss Prevention, Nesheba is responsible for providing leadership and guidance with respect to the development of ALAS’s risk management resources for member firms. She oversees the creation of programs and materials aimed at assisting firms with loss prevention, claims avoidance, and firm management. Nesheba also is responsible for evaluating and monitoring issues and risks that could lead to legal liability and devising programs and tools to help member firms recognize and mitigate risks.
In her role as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Nesheba helps develop and establish ALAS’s DEI efforts and collaborates with member firms regarding their DEI initiatives.
Prior to joining ALAS, Nesheba was a partner at a labor and employment firm, where she handled the defense of employment-related cases before federal and state courts and numerous administrative agencies. Nesheba’s background in employment law helps to guide ALAS’s loss prevention resources and solutions related to employment practices and management liability claims.
Nesheba was featured in the Big Ten Network Live Big Campaign in 2016 and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Black Women Lawyers’ Association. She was also a 2013 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow.
