Les Bovia consults with member firms about professional responsibility and risk management issues. Les also presents and prepares written resources on assorted professional responsibility and risk management matters.
Les started his ALAS career in the Member Services Department, where he focused on new business acquisition and retention efforts, conducted underwriting for our LPL and supplemental programs, and responded to member requests for information on coverage issues.
Before joining ALAS, Les served as the Inspector General of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. He was confirmed unanimously for that role by the Illinois Senate. He also served the Illinois Human Rights Commission in several different capacities, including as Acting General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Ethics Officer, and Administrative Law Judge. Previously, Les was a long-time litigator with member firm Winston & Strawn.
