Vice President—Senior Loss Prevention Counsel

Kenneth R. Landis

Overview

With almost 20 years’ experience in the ALAS Loss Prevention Department, Ken Landis counsels lawyers on ethics and professional responsibility issues. In his role as an ALAS Vice President, he consults with firm general counsel and conducts training for firm lawyers and other personnel. Ken also regularly speaks at outside conferences.  

Before joining ALAS in 2005, Ken was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago for 10 years. While at Seyfarth, Ken litigated commercial, environmental, product liability, contract, and trade secret and noncompete cases. Ken started his practice in 1992 with Rooks, Pitts, and Poust (now Dykema’s Chicago office), where he handled litigation matters.  

Before attending law school, Ken worked as a financial analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. 

Ken is a member of the American and Chicago Bar Associations.
