Overview

As the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at ALAS, John Overchuk’s leadership ensures the smooth delivery of essential information technology services.  

John prioritizes the security and integrity of our systems, safeguarding sensitive data and offering our members peace of mind. His management of network and server infrastructure provides reliable access to our services, enabling ALAS to effectively serve its members. John’s focus on application development and support ensures our technology remains responsive to our members’ evolving needs.  

John earned a degree in management information systems from the University of Connecticut. His professional journey includes more than three decades of dedicated service to ALAS. This trajectory has given John the ability to effectively facilitate change and innovation within ALAS. 

Within his community, John offers IT assistance to an urban charter high school that focuses on environmental studies and diversity. He lends his expertise to support the school in maintaining and enhancing its technological infrastructure, ensuring that students and staff have access to reliable and efficient IT resources.  

When not busy working with technology, John enjoys watching baseball games. His goal is to see the New York Yankees play in all 30 Major League stadiums.
