As Senior Counsel in the Member Services Department, Diana Hsu responds to member firms requesting information on coverage issues and works with them to address changing coverage needs. Diana also conducts in-person meetings at member firms to provide updates on ALAS.
She has significant responsibilities for renewal and new business underwriting for our LPL program and supplemental programs for MLI and EPLI coverage. Diana works with other Member Services and Underwriting Department lawyers on new business acquisition and retention efforts, and also works with attorneys from other ALAS departments to facilitate programming to assist law firms with loss prevention and law firm management services issues.
Diana currently serves as a member of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability.
Prior to joining ALAS, Diana was Deputy General Counsel of Sears Holdings Corporation where she managed all of its intellectual property counseling and litigation, and its commercial, antitrust, and environmental and toxic tort litigation matters, as well as the risk management team responsible for general liability lawsuits. Before joining Sears, Diana was a litigation partner at Winston & Strawn LLP.
Diana enjoys Chicago’s restaurants and bakeries, travel, tennis and hiking, and her dog.
