As a Senior Loss Prevention Counsel, Collette Woghiren’s responsibilities include writing and speaking on topics related to professional responsibility, risk management, and lawyer liability.
Prior to joining ALAS, Collette was a partner at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, where she represented clients in complex business litigation. Collette’s wide-ranging experience as a trial lawyer and legal advisor includes litigating contract disputes, business torts, securities litigation, and product liability in both state and federal courts across various jurisdictions and industries. Collette’s diverse legal practice helps to guide ALAS’s loss prevention resources and solutions aimed at assisting firms with loss prevention, claims avoidance, and firm management.
Collette was selected as one of the 40 Under Forty 2023-Illinois Attorneys to Watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. She was also awarded the Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award presented by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023.
