Akhil Wagh is the Senior Vice President—Chief Financial Officer at ALAS. In his role, he oversees all aspects of ALAS’s finance function, including financial reporting and management as well strategic financial analysis.
As the CFO, Akhil reports to the membership on ALAS’s financial condition at the Annual General Meeting. He oversees ALAS’s financial interactions with members, addressing any questions that they may have. He works closely with the senior management team and the ALAS Board and interacts with key third-party service providers, including auditors, reinsurers, investment managers, and other professionals.
Akhil brings deep insurance and financial experience to ALAS. Before joining ALAS, he was Vice-President, Finance with Lawyers’ Professional Indemnity Company in Toronto. Prior to that, he worked with KPMG, focusing on its insurance industry practice.
Akhil enjoys spending time with his family and taking walks by the shores of Lake Michigan.
